How do I control whether my Arlo Go 2 Camera connects to Mobile or Wi-Fi?
Arlo Go 2 gives you the flexibility of using 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi or LTE for connectivity. You can also use LTE as a backup in case your Wi-Fi internet connection is interrupted.
Note: When using both 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and LTE mode, Wi-Fi will always be the primary mode of connection.
During setup, you can connect the Arlo Go 2 Camera to either a mobile, Wi-Fi network or both:
- Mobile (LTE): To access the mobile network, your Arlo Go 2 Camera requires an activated SIM card with a mobile data plan. The SIM card must be installed in the Arlo Go 2 Camera.
- Wi-Fi: Your camera connects to an available 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.
When setting up Arlo Go 2 for the first time, you will be asked if you want to connect via LTE or Wi-Fi. If you want to use both, you should setup the Wi-Fi connection as it will also include steps on how to install your SIM for the LTE connection.
